Topic description

In this topic students will further develop production skills in camera and lighting, sound recording and editing, and will be introduced to sound post-production. Students will be introduced to producing and production organisation, as well as working with actors and camera coverage of theatrical or live production.

Educational aims

This topic aims to:

  • Allow students to build on production skills including: producing, camera and lighting, editing, sound recording, and sound post-production
  • Provide students with opportunities to work with actors and develop skills in screen coverage for a theatrical production
  • Introduce students to sound post-production
  • Provide students with opportunities to develop screen production skills through group activities and assignments
  • Provide students with opportunities to collaborate creatively and problem solve with their peers
  • Give students an overall awareness of the production and post-production process
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
