Topic description
In this topic students work in a studio environment to refine and expand their skills in utilising a digital tool kit. Work is continually discussed to assist students with technical and theoretical progress.
Educational aims
This topic aims to:

  • expose students to advanced concepts used in the digital production pipeline
  • develop students’ ability to articulate applied theories and concepts within the design industry
  • provide the opportunity to diversify their skills in the production of artistic materials
  • create awareness of the scope of digital tools and techniques used in artistic processes
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic students will be able to:

  • Analyse art works using existing theoretical principles
  • Compare different art styles with a level of confidence
  • Define core principles of design
  • Locate works within historical contexts
