In this topic the students will develop a beginning level of knowledge, skills and attitude (competence) required to care for women and their families experiencing a normal pregnancy, birth and puerperium. Students will have the opportunity to explore the physical, psychological, social, spiritual and emotional aspects of care in the antenatal, intrapartum and post natal periods of the child bearing experience.
