Topic description

This topic forms part of a programme of study for students undertaking an Honours year in Screen and Media. Individual lecturers may negotiate activities for Honours students to undertake within this topic. The syllabus may constitute an extension of an upper-level undergraduate topic not previously undertaken by the student, or may constitute individual study.

Educational aims

This topic aims to:

  • Allow students to explore various aspects of Screen Studies in more depth, and with a more sophisticated approach, than is mandated in undergraduate topics
  • Allow students to put into practice research skills
  • Provide students with an opportunity to undertake research at Honours level in an area of screen and/or media not otherwise available in the Honours Program
  • Develop students' skills and abilities in undertaking research and in tailoring a research project at Honours level
  • Provide an opportunity for students to develop their written and oral presentation skills
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

  2. Demonstrate further developed skills in a range of research activities
