Course context

Prior to enrolling, students are required to attend a Pre-Placement Workshop offered at various times throughout the year.

Topic description

Students undertake an industry placement while abroad. Students are placed and matched with placements according to availability and suitability; or students can source their own placement with approval. Students are prepared for their placement, enter into a learning contract to guide the work integrated learning experience and are supervised.

Educational aims

This topic aims to provide a practical orientation to the workplace in preparation for a business career. This orientation takes the form of a placement experience in an international business setting.

Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

  1. Apply business knowledge to professional work situations in another country
  2. Demonstrate the ability to operate effectively in an international workplace
