Cycling

Flinders has a large community of students and staff who cycle to campus on a regular basis. Cycling is healthy, saves you money and it is easy to find a place to store your bike when you get to campus. We have facilities available for you to lock your bike, and for you to shower and change.

Cycle paths

On campus, there are designated cycle lanes along University Drive, and a shared use path from Bellevue Heights through car park 3.

There is also a cycling path between Bedford Park and Tonsley campuses.

Parking your bike on campus

Secure your bike to rails in the following locations:

Arrival Plaza - near Registry Road
Humanities northern courtyard entrance and walkway to SSN
Social Sciences South main entrance - adjacent car park 4
Between Alan Mitchell building and Health Sciences building (upper level)
Information Science and Technology (IST) - main entrance
Engineering - east side of IST building, adjacent Lakeside Walk
Sturt - under Library
Health and Medical Reseach Building (HMRB) - level 1 and level 2
Northern side of the Flinders at Tonsley building
Southern side of Factory of the Future, Tonsley.

Lockable bicycle store

There are three free lockable bike stores at Bedford Park and Sturt for students and staff. Access by swiping your staff or student card.

The bike stores are located:

Between Alan Mitchell building/Flinders Sport & Fitness and Health Sciences building (lower level), Bedford Park - this location also contains charging ports for e-bikes (BYO cable)
Under the steps from Anchor Court to Physical Science building, Bedford Park
Under the Library, Sturt.

There is another store inside the Flinders at Tonsley building - please contact the Customer Service team on 08 8201 2880 for access to the facility.
