Yes. Flinders awards staggered qualifications as you complete certain MBA requirements. Finish four subjects and you’ll get a Graduate Certificate of Business Administration. After eight subjects, you’ll earn the Graduate Diploma of Business Administration. And after 12 subjects, Flinders will award you the full MBA degree. Each stage represents the completion of a post-graduate qualification and an exit point.
The Flinders MBA can be completed in 18 months or up to 3 years. Taken part-time online, you will complete two topics over 13 weeks. You will be advised of due dates as you commence each topic, so you can plan your studies around your work and personal commitments. We offer flexible delivery modes, including evening classes between 5.30 and 8.30 weeknights, full or part-time study and an online program at our Victoria Square City Campus.
Your experience and qualifications all form part of our entry requirements. Applicants need to have a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution, with at least three years post-degree work experience, and take part in an interview. If you do not meet the initial entry requirements, Flinders University has a range of pathways available, book a one-on-one appointment to find out more.
We anticipate that you will spend about 146 hours per topic, in other words 18 hours per week to complete your MBA – but this depends on your level of experience and education.
This includes studying the course materials, interacting with academics and peers, preparing for, and completing assessments (e.g. quizzes, assignments, etc.), as well as personal reflection and consolidation of learning.
Depending on the appropriateness of your workplace, some of the learning reflection and consolidation can be completed while you work, which reduces the after-hours study required.
No. FLO, the Flinders Learning Online Portal is your ultimate digital resource for everything you’ll need to complete your MBA with the flexibility to access all your learning materials, lectures, videos and reading material.

Using online learning best practice, you’ll have a variety of assessments which may include, but are not limited to tests, forum discussions, and assignments. Additionally, alongside our commitment to practical learning, your final project can address an area of your workplace or business.
All assessment due dates are provided two weeks in advance of each subject start date, so you can plan your study around your family life, commitments, or other personal obligations.
Applications are completed via SATAC.
