There are several sources of funding offering Honours-specific Scholarships to School of Medicine Honours Students. The scholarships range in value from $2500 to $3000. Some individual laboratories also offer scholarships which are project specific and some areas have projects that are eligible to attract industry "top-up" funding which can include stipends for Honours Students.

Scholarships Available

The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences Honours Scholarships are available to undergraduate students undertaking an honours research project in the School of Medicine or the School of Nursing & Midwifery, Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences. Subject to the availability of funding, there are five (5) scholarships valued at up to $2,500 awarded annually.


The Flinders Medical Centre Foundation annually offers one (1) Neil Della Scholarship valued at $3000. This scholarship is available to students enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree, in any research laboratory in the School of Medicine, and is awarded on the basis of excellence on the undergraduate record.


The Centre for Neuroscience (CNS) offers up to two scholarships each year funded by the Flinders Medical Centre Foundation. These scholarships, valued at $2500 each, are available to students enrolled full-time for an honours degree in any CNS laboratory in the School of Medicine and are awarded on the basis of excellence of the undergraduate record.
