How to accept your offer

We're excited you received an offer of admission to study at Flinders University. To secure your place, just follow our step-by-step guide.

1. Return your acceptance form keyboard_arrow_up

To accept your Officer of Admission, please return your completed Acceptance Form (by replying to the email address that was listed on your Offer document or by contacting your agent) together with:

  • Streamlined Student Visa Framework (SSVF) Declaration or Genuine Student (GS) Declaration Form 
  • Financial Capacity Declaration (if required)
  • Financial Documents Summary (if required)
  • Evidence of finances

The Flinders International team will review your documents and advise you of any further required documentation before you proceed to fee payments.

Conditional offers

Your Offer of Admission will outline if you need to meet any conditions before enrolling at Flinders University.

English

  • If your offer is conditional upon meeting our English language requirements, you can arrange to sit an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) test. 
  • You may also need to provide evidence of planned study at an ELICOS provider (if relevant).

Documentation

  • If your offer is conditional on providing original certified documentation, you will need to forward the required documents (both in original language and as an English translation) to us via mail or courier only.
  • Note: A certified document is a copy (often a photocopy) of a primary document that has on it an endorsement or certificate that it is a true copy of the primary document.

2. Pay your deposit keyboard_arrow_up

Your deposit payment is due once you have accepted your offer of admission. Do not make any payment until we have received your acceptance form and advised you to proceed to payment. The deposit payment may be the full commencing semester tuition fee or a portion, as requested on your Offer of Admission.

At this time, you must also pay your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) visa to cover the full length of your student visa or provide evidence of a pre-arranged OSHC (if required).

After you have paid your deposit, the outstanding balance must be paid before receiving your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).

 

Payment Methods

1. Western Union GlobalPay for Students

At Flinders University, we offer the Western Union GlobalPay to make it easier for students to pay the international tuition fee payments. This system is a faster and more reliable way to pay. You can pay from your bank account with a telegraphic transfer or use a credit card.

Paying via Western Union GlobalPay is as simple as following these steps:

Step 1 - Go to the Flinders University Western Union GlobalPay
Step 2 - Choose a way to pay
Step 3 - Enter your student details
Step 4 - Enter your payer details
Step 5 - Arrange payment

You can also track your payment and confirm when the payment is sent to Flinders University.

 

2. BPAY (only for students who already have an Australian bank account)

Contact your participating bank to make a payment directly from your Australian cheque, savings or credit card (Visa or MasterCard) account.

Payment Reference Number: To generate your payment reference number, please enter your Flinders Student ID into the following field and press ‘Display Payment Reference Number’.

A Payment Reference Number is required when making payments by BPAY® or by cheque.

To obtain your Payment Reference Number, enter your Flinders Student ID (eg 2001234) and press 'Display Payment Reference Number' below.

3. Electronic Funds Transfer (only for commencing students making deposit payments from non-Australian bank accounts)

Fees can be made payable to the National Australia Bank, Unley Branch, 260 Unley Rd, Hyde Park, South Australia, 5061.

Please include your full name in your payment and ensure your student number is included as the payment reference. A transfer fee may be charged by your bank.

 

4. Payment via Student System

Students are able to pay their fees via our student system upon activating their student account and logging in.

  1. Activate your Flinders Account
  2. Login to the student information system using the FAN and password you created.
  3. Select the ‘My Finances’ tab at the top of the page, then from the left hand menu choose ‘Pay International Acceptance Fee’.
  4. Enter the ‘Amount to Pay’ as outlined in your ‘Offer of Admission’ as well as your credit card details (Visa or MasterCard) to pay your account. Payment may take 2-3 working days to process.

 

5. By Mail

Make cheques or money orders payable to Flinders University and mail to the following address:

You must quote your Student ID number on the reverse of your cheque/money order.

 

*Please note that you are unable to pay your fees using cash.

3. Apply for your visa keyboard_arrow_up

When the University has processed your payment, Flinders International will then issue your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) document. You must have a CoE to apply for a visa.

Visit the Department of Home Affairs Visa Finder to find the Australian visa most likely to meet your specific circumstances. To lodge a complete application for prompt assessment, please refer to the visa application information page.

An education agent may help you prepare a student visa application.

4. Prepare for your departure keyboard_arrow_up

Once Flinders has received your tuition fee payment, you will receive a copy of our pre-departure guide. This international student guides contains everything you need to know about making preparations for life in Australia, and studying at Flinders.

Once you have confirmed your flight, please advise the International Student Services team of your arrival details by completing the arrival booking form. They will arrange to meet you at Adelaide Airport to welcome you to Adelaide and to take you to your accommodation.

Need to defer your offer?

You may be able to defer your entry for 1 or 2 semesters based on compassionate or compelling grounds (subject to University approval). Application for deferral will be reassessed according to current GS guidelines.

Note: you cannot defer the Bachelor of Creative Arts, the Bachelor of Midwifery, the Bachelor of Clinical Sciences/Doctor of Medicine, or the Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics.
