Advanced Analysis of Linked Health Data Workshop

Wednesday 25th - Sunday 29th September 2013

Venue: Level 1, Health Sciences Building, Flinders University

Presenter: Professor David Preen (Director, Centre for Health Services Research, School of Public Health, UWA)

Advanced principles of health care epidemiology are combined with hands-on practical exercises in the implementation of computing solutions. The modular structure of the unit provides students with a theoretical grounding on each topic, followed by a training session on the corresponding computing solutions. Students use de-identified data files in the hands-on exercises. The computing component of the unit assumes a basic competence in the preparation of computing syntax for programs such as SPSS, SAS or STATA and familiarity with the statistical analysis of linked data files at an introductory to intermediate level.

FCEB Consulting

Biostatistical Consulting and collaboration is available to all staff within the Faculty of Health Sciences. Please contact us by phone or email to arrange a time for advice.

Advice is free for short consulting sessions. However, where extended consulting, analysis of data or other considerable input is required, consideration should be made to staff being regarded as collaborators rather than simply as free-advice consultants.

Please visit FCEB staff page to read more about our staff's expertise.

Please visit FCEB contact page to check where our staffs are physically located in a map.
