Description
The Aged Care Nursing Scholarship Program (the Program) is funded by the Australian Government and administered by the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners.
The objectives of the Program are to:
Support aged care career pathways through worker education, training and development;
Ensure the availability of high-quality aged care that puts the needs and preferences of older people first; and
Promote an increase in the capacity of the First Nations aged care workforce and the broader aged care workforce to address the needs of First Nations peoples.
The ANSP provides scholarships to aged care workers and nurses who are undertaking or planning study in areas that support high-quality aged care.
More than 1,050 scholarships are available over three years (2025–2027).
Benefits
1050 scholarships are available over 3 years for domestic students undertaking Aged care-related courses ranging from Certificate III through to Masters programs.
The scholarships will be funded upon successful completion of study units via reimbursement.

Dedicated scholar support
Subscription to Ausmed (normally priced at $468) with access to over 1,250 clinical resources, including 556 aged care-specific topics.
Access to Murra Mullangari: Introduction to Cultural Safety and Cultural Humility online course with the Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses (CATSINaM), free for all scholars (normally priced at $495).
These additional benefits are all complementary for scholars during the term of their scholarship.
Eligibility
Students may be eligible if they:
• Are an Australian citizen or permanent resident
• Are currently working in an Australian aged care setting (residential aged care, home care, or Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services)
• Are enrolled in an eligible aged care-related qualification
• Preference is given to applicants living and working in regional, rural and remote areas (MM3–MM7).
