Whether you are a Year 12 student, a non-school leaver wanting to start your university studies, or you want to further your university studies, we offer a range of pathways to gain admission into Flinders.

If you’ve finished Year 12 in previous years, or are currently studying Year 12 and complete the SACE/IB (or interstate equivalent) you are eligible to compete for uni entry via your Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR). View the ATAR information for Flinders University.
You could also be eligible for guaranteed entry, and adjustment factors to boost your ATAR.
uniTEST – If you’re in Year 12, uniTEST is available to enhance your chances of getting into Flinders. We will select students based on Year 12 results and uniTEST performance.
UniLeap – Don’t quite meet the Flinders minimum ATAR entry ranks? UniLeap can help you qualify for entry into a Flinders University degree in 4 weeks.
School Recommendation Program – We may consider your school’s recommendation about your academic performance as part of your admission into Flinders.
Indigenous Admissions Scheme – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are eligible to apply for Flinders via the Indigenous Admissions Scheme.
Research Project B pathway – If you have strong results in the Research Project B subject you will be considered for entry into Flinders on the basis of your Year 12 results and Research Project B performance.
If you haven’t achieved the results you expected in Year 12, there are a number of pathways to your preferred degree. You can start studying one course and move to another via internal transfer or Flinderslink.
Alternatively, you may wish to consider the Bachelor of General Studies as a pathway to your preferred course.

If you didn’t go to uni straight after high school there are a number of pathways available for you to start your study at Flinders.
Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) – A 2-hour multiple choice test with no areas of assumed knowledge. You can choose your STAT sitting day and time when you submit your SATAC application, or you can register to sit outside application periods. Depending on the course you apply for you may be eligible to submit a personal competencies statement.
Flinders Foundation Studies Program – This no-cost course will give you the foundation to be a successful university student. Upon successful completion, you'll gain guaranteed entry to a range of our courses, as well as a competitive entry rank to the majority of our other courses.
TAFE/VET to uni – Your TAFE Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma gives you guaranteed entry into many of our courses through TAFELink. You can also apply using a Certificate III qualification.
Year 12 qualifications – Regardless of when you finished Year 12, you can still use your results as a basis for your application to Flinders.
Indigenous Admissions Scheme – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are eligible to apply at Flinders via the Indigenous Admissions Scheme.
