Professor Maria Parappilly OAM

Professor Maria Parappilly OAM is a theoretical physicist with a passion for physics and Women in STEM. An award-winning physics educator and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Physics (AIP), Maria was formerly the head of research (STEM education) at Flinders University. She founded the University’s STEM Women Branching Out - a first of its kind in SA that supports women with their choice of researching and teaching in STEM and delivers initiatives for school students.

Melinda Parent

Melinda Parent is the Creative Director and Founder of Oranje Creative, an all-female led advertising agency. She has initiated and managed a long list of successful marketing and retail campaigns for many well-known brands. Melinda’s creative career spans 20 years in the fashion, design and advertising industries. Combined with postgraduate qualifications in business, she has an impressive portfolio across traditional and digital media and has earned an enviable reputation in the advertising and marketing industry.

Litsa Adamou

Litsa Adamou is the first female building inspector in South Australia. Her business House Inspect Australia undertakes more than 3500 building and pest inspections, new build stage inspections and other forms of building inspections across SA per year. Litsa’s story and success as a female in a male dominated industry has led her to be awarded Top 100 Women in Construction in 2020, selected as a finalist of the Master Builders Women in Construction Awards in 2021 and having just been awarded SA Winner of the Telstra Best of Business Award in the category of Accelerating Women in 2022.
