Student Experience and Management

place Bedford Park

I'm a Disability Advisor at Flinders University with over 30 years of experience in social work, both in Australia and the UK. My background includes supporting individuals affected by sexual assault, people with disability, young carers, and young mothers experiencing homelessness. I began my career as the first social work student placed at Yarrow Place in 1995, and have continued to work in roles grounded in inclusion, advocacy, and trauma-informed practice. At Flinders, I work with students to develop Access Plans and coordinate the supports they need to succeed. In 2024, I co-developed and co-facilitated the University's first ADHD Support Group, which was recognised with a Flinders Professional Staff Award for Wellbeing. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Adelaide and a Bachelor of Social Work from Flinders University.
