Jack Klein

Jack is a Lecturer in the College of Human Sciences and Culture. He received his PhD in social psychology from the University of Melbourne and previously worked as a researcher at the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Jack’s research is primarily focused on social identity and intergroup relations, with a particular interest in the extreme group identities. He is currently investigating how tribalism can cause both intergroup cooperation and competition, depending on contextual factors.

A major theme of Jack’s research has integrating theories from different academic traditions. Jack’s work is hence often interdisciplinary, and he welcomes new opportunities for collaboration. Please feel free to reach out!
