Janey Barrow is an experienced research data manager with a focus on clinical quality registries and registry science. She has over 20yrs experience working in clinical research and acute healthcare settings, both in Australia and UK with a passion for improving patient outcomes through the use of health data & technologies.

Janey worked for 10 years as a senior data manager for the Australia Orthopaedic Association National Joint Replacement Registry (AOANJRR), based at SAHMRI and the University of Adelaide, where she gained a broad range of experience in the management of clinical registry data (inc. data cleaning, validation, analysis, reporting), system management, databases (MS Access / SQL Server), prosthesis catalogue management, implementation of patient reported outcome measures (PROMs), business analysis and end-user testing.

Janey is now based in the Health Data & Clinical Trials unit within Flinders Health and Medical Research Institute (FHMRI), where she is employed as a Registry Data Scientist. She is passionate about improving patient outcomes using health technologies and utilising her skills in databases, data quality, business analysis, documentation, and problem solving.
