Dr Jennifer Baldock is a researcher with a multidisciplinary background spanning cognitive science, cancer, and health equity. She was awarded a PhD in Cognitive Science/Audiology from Flinders University in 2022, where she investigated cognitive effort during listening tasks. Dr Baldock is currently a researcher in the Behavioural Research and Evaluation Unit at Cancer Council SA, and she holds adjunct positions with Flinders University and the University of South Australia.
Dr Baldock’s current research focuses on cancer-related cognitive impairment, cancer screening and survivorship, and health equity.
She is a Chief Investigator on a Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Survivorship project: co-producing cancer support resources with and for people with intellectual disability. She has a strong commitment to inclusive research methodologies and works collaboratively with researchers with lived experience of disability to ensure research is meaningful and impactful.
She brings expertise in both qualitative and quantitative methods, including experience in statistical analysis and data visualisation using R. Dr Baldock also supervises Honours and HDR students.

• April 2021: Recipient of the Ember Venning Postgraduate Research Scholarship in Speech Pathology and Audiology ($4000).
o One Ember Venning Scholarship is granted each year based on academic merit.
• Intern in the competitive Academic Internship Program for Doctoral Students.
• September 2020: Commendation for “Outstanding Student Support and Engagement” by Dean of Graduate Research, Professor Tara Brabazon.
• December 2019: $500 travel scholarship to attend the “Complex Human Data Summer School 2019”, University of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
• September 2019: WINNER of the 3 Minute Thesis Competition at Flinders University: “Seeing Listening in the Eyes” ($2000 and financed travel to Asia Pacific 3-minute thesis competition at the University of Queensland).
• February 2017: The Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship ($102,808) to undertake a PhD at Flinders University.
• April 2016: Flinders University Chancellor's letter of commendation for outstanding academic performance in Honours research.
• April 2016: Recipient of an American Academy of Audiology (AAA) $500 Foundation’s James and Susan Jerger Award for Excellence in Student Research at the AAA international conference in Phoenix, AZ, USA.
