John Walker

John brings more than 20 years of project and program management experience across the higher education and health sectors. Before joining Flinders, he worked at Adelaide University in the Student Experience and Success portfolio. Prior to that, he held several roles at the University of South Australia, including Project Manager, Program Manager Dean: Academic, and Executive Officer.

Earlier in his career, John worked at the University of Sydney, the University of Auckland in New Zealand, Far West Local Health District in Broken Hill, NSW, and international law firm Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles.

John holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Management both from Massey University in New Zealand, as well as a Diploma of Project Management from Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne.

Outside of work, John is an active member and advocate of The Men's Table. He is also an enthusiastic reader, an avid consumer of podcasts, and a voracious consumer of sci-fi, horror, and political/historical movies and TV shows. John may or may not have starred in your favourite episode of the Power Rangers.
