Lecturer (Teaching Specialist (Acad))
College of Medicine and Public Health
Working as a lecturer in medical education within the South Australian Rural Medical Program (Mount Gambier), I am committed to integrating foundational medical sciences with clinically relevant teaching to support student learning and future clinical practice. My primary teaching areas include anatomy, histology, and pathology, with contributions mainly to the Science & Scholarship domain of the MD program.
My research background includes human anatomy and interdisciplinary medical sciences. I completed my PhD in Human Anatomy, where my research focused on ocular anatomy, myopia, and a clinical trial on management of myopia. My MD research explored physiotherapy practices in ancient Indian medical manuscripts, examining their anatomical and therapeutic relevance in contemporary healthcare. In addition, I have been involved in research projects in the field of plastination, with a particular interest in innovative anatomical teaching methods and preservation techniques for medical education.
