Mohammed Akhib is a researcher whose main interests lie in various aspects of public relations. He is particularly interested in how media factors shape consumer perceptions during a crisis, rather than assuming that consumers are unaffected by media. His research focuses on trust, distrust and consumer future purchase intentions, particularly relating to the veracity of social media and traditional media reports. He has presented papers at various conferences. His articles appeared in peer-reviewed journals, such as Media International Australia.

Teaching interests

Mohammed Akhib is an experienced lecturer with a passion for teaching, knowledge, and student learning. He has designed and developed graduate and undergraduate courses that are engaging and inclusive. His teaching specialisations include international business, marketing, leadership, and project management programs. Before academia, he worked in leadership roles and has more than fifteen years of industry experience in India and the Middle East.
