“Knowledge dissemination is a key aspect in building better care and better systems across the population. By understanding practices in diverse regions that care for Chinese populations, we can influence policies and empower patients, professionals, and the public.”
– Chan
Given recent advances in cancer treatment, there is an urgent need to adapt and innovate healthcare provision to address the many unmet and long-term care needs of the rapidly increasing number of people living with and beyond cancer.
This partnership project between Australia and Greater China will optimise outcomes and lived-experience of increasing numbers of Chinese cancer survivors, and increase awareness of cultural issues in cancer survivorship among healthcare professionals.
Goal
The AC2 Project will build understanding and connections to improve cancer survivorship outcomes among Chinese populations. It will generate impactful shared resources, and sustainable ongoing partnerships between researchers, healthcare providers and community support partners.
