Work Integrated Learning
Our Work Integrated Learning programs have been designed in consultation with employing sectors and students to support students' success and to showcase their courage, vibrancy, and enterprise through rich, real-world experiences.
The most well known type of Work Integrated Learning is when a student is placed in a workplace for a set time, or for a specific project.
Flinders staff, students and employers work together to design a learning experience that benefits everyone. Throughout the placement, the student’s progress and learning outcomes are monitored and assessed by Flinders, with input from the employer.
Work Integrated Learning provides opportunities for students to put theory and skills into practice, and gain valuable work experience. For employers, the experience goes beyond altruistic outcomes; the student can – and often does – add demonstrable value. Benefit from:
- access to a dedicated resource to boost your business' capacity
- enthusiastic new talent with fresh ideas and thinking
- a potential recruitment pathway
- engagement with the community and one of the world's leading universities.
