Micro-X

Thomas McSkimming is a Flinders University PhD candidate and senior software engineer at Micro-X. Demonstrating the strength of researchers and industry working together, Thomas is developing a mobile CT brain scanner that could revolutionise stroke care by delivering rapid, on-site brain imaging for emergency responders and remote communities, and potentially saving countless lives through earlier diagnosis.

SACA

Flinders Diploma of Sports Management, delivered in partnership with SACA, provides SACA with access to students trained around the way they work, with many graduates going on to have careers with the Association. Our students gain access to industry mentors, elite facilities and immersive work-integrated learning experiences that prepare them for careers across the sport, recreation and events sectors.

ASC

Flinders’ Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree apprenticeships, delivered in partnership with ASC, give ASC the opportunity to tackle workplace shortages by developing emerging professionals whose learning is aligned with industry needs. Apprentices combine paid employment with university study, giving them the chance to build their skills through a blend of academic learning and workplace experience.

State Theatre Company SA

Flinders’ partnership with State Theatre Company South Australia spans education, research and industry engagement. Flinders researchers and State Theatre Company South Australia practitioners collaborate on major projects, while students benefit from guest lectures, masterclasses, rehearsal observations, assistant directing opportunities and work-integrated learning placements.
