The RACMA Fellowship Training Program equips aspiring Medical Leaders with the essential knowledge and skills, and instils a deep sense of responsibility towards promoting quality, safety and innovation in healthcare delivery.
The RACMA Fellowship Training Program aims to prepare Candidates to become specialist medical leaders and managers able to integrate medical and health system expertise with specialist medical leadership and management skills to positively influence and lead the Australasian health care systems. Graduates will be able to provide stewardship of healthcare systems to support safe, equitable, appropriate, sustainable, evidence-based and well-governed care.
The RACMA Fellowship Training Program is based on evidence-based education and assessment principles to ensure that RACMA Fellows are equipped for today’s specialist administration and leadership practice. RACMA understands the rapidly changing healthcare environment and continually reviews the Fellowship Training Program, monitoring, evaluating and implementing quality improvements to stay on top of developments, ensuring currency and best practice.
RACMA delivers training to empower medical leaders with the knowledge, skills, confidence and self-awareness to play a central, decision-making role within their healthcare and community services. To be accepted into the RACMA Fellowship Training Program, an applicant must demonstrate meeting the eligibility requirements as per the RACMA Entry to Training Policy.
Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) who wish to practice in the speciality of Medical Administration in Australia or NZ must apply directly to the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA) for an assessment of their comparability to an Australian/NZ trained specialist. RACMA’s SIMG assessment process evaluates the training, qualifications, and experience of the SIMG for comparability with an Australian/NZ trained Medical Administrator. The specialist pathway for Medical Administration allows for an assessment of specialist recognition to be able to register and practise as a specialist medical administrator.
