Course Coordinator of Midwifery Programs
I am an experienced midwifery educator with over 20 years of clinical practice and a strong commitment to preparing the next generation of midwives for safe, evidence-based, and woman-centred care. My teaching spans across the Bachelor of Midwifery and postgraduate programs, where I coordinate and contribute to topics focused on clinical skills development, perinatal mental health, prescribing and diagnostics, and midwifery models of care.
I bring extensive clinical recency to my teaching, drawing on my experience as an Endorsed Midwife to integrate real-world practice, contemporary evidence, and reflective learning opportunities into the curriculum. I have a particular interest in simulation-based education, continuity of care models, and trauma-informed, culturally safe maternity care. My approach is student-centred, fostering critical thinking, professional confidence, and compassionate practice in diverse maternity settings.
