With extensive experience in the University research sector, I specialise in providing high quality research support, with a focus on ethical practices and animal welfare.  I am passionate about the environment, sustainable practices and equality.

Previously employed in research groups in laboratory manager, research officer and office manager roles, I understand the challenges faced by and the support required for University researchers.

Key responsibilities

I am the Research Ethics Officer in the Research Ethics, Integrity and Compliance Team.

My role is to:

Provide support and guidance to researchers on applications for their research

Effectively progress ethics applications to approved research projects

Act as administrative support for the Animal Ethics Committee (AEC) and Human Research Ethics Committees (HRECs)

Provide committee feedback to applicants

Assist researchers with review, modification and response to committee feedback

Ensure University and researcher compliance with policies, guidelines and regulations

Assist with University research integrity cases
