Lecturer
College of Education, Psychology and Social Work
I began my career working in secondary schools as a health and physical education teacher. I worked across a variety of schools in South Australia across public, independent and catholic settings. Early in my career, I was provided with an opportunity to undertake some teaching at UniSA within some topics related to health and physical education teacher training. This was an opportunity that I loved and knew that a pathway to tertiary education was where I wanted my career to progress towards. I continued to work as a casual academic for multiple years alongside school teaching, and as my responsibilities at the tertiary level grew, I moved to become a full time casual academic for 5 years. As my career progressed, along with my tertiary teaching experience, I won a full-time position as a lecturer in education and made the move across to Flinders University in 2020. I look forward to seeing what the next steps in my career have in store.
