Mr David Willmore is an Associate Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at Flinders University. David's current research surrounds the safe storage of hydrogen, and understanding the potential risks of autoignition and detonation that may ensue given the failure of a pressurised storage vessel. David's research involves numerical simulations of computational fluid dynamics on high-performance computing systems and experimental techniques including focusing schlieren imaging to visualise supersonic flows.
