Dia Gopuran is an Associate Lecturer - Clinical Nurse Simulation Educator (CNSE) with a passion for nursing education, simulation-based learning and developing the next generation of nurses through evidence-based practice.
A proud Flinders University alumna, Dia is currently completing a Master of Nursing with a focus on Nursing Education. Her clinical background spans medical, surgical, and emergency nursing across both public and private healthcare settings. She has experience in a wide range of specialties, including orthopaedics, oncology, palliative care, neurosurgery, ENT, gynaecology, plastics and reconstructive surgery, pain management, clinical trials, and general medicine.
Prior to joining Flinders University, Dia worked as a Hospital Educator, supporting staff development, facilitating education programs, and developing clinical resources to promote best practice. Over the past two years, she has coordinated and delivered teaching within the Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Nursing programs, facilitating simulation learning, clinical skills development, and academic teaching.
Dia is passionate about fostering students' confidence, critical thinking, and clinical competence, preparing them to deliver safe, person-centred care in contemporary healthcare environments.
