I hold a PhD in Biology, obtained from Flinders University. My research dissertation is in the field of molecular genetics and DNA profiling databases. I gained my Honours degree in Science from Flinders University in 2001, and a Bachelor of Technology in Forensic and Analytical Chemistry undergraduate degree from Flinders University in 2000, majoring in organic chemistry. I obtained a Diploma of Biostatistics from the Biostatistics Collaboration of Australia in 2011.

I have been employed within the Biology section at Forensic Science SA (FSSA) since October 2005 as a Forensic Scientist and currently hold the position of Principal Scientist for Forensic Statistics.
