Dr Ehsan Abedin

Dr. Ehsan Abedin is the coordinator for the Master of Applied Business Analytics and Bachelor of Business Analytics degrees at Flinders University. He is also a member of the Digital Trust Research Group and Centre for Social Impact, where he helps advance data-driven solutions for societal challenges. 

Before joining Flinders University, he built extensive expertise as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Analytics at The University of Melbourne and Monash University, working on various Australian Research Council (ARC) grants and projects, including:

- Harnessing Insights from Unstructured Customer Data

- Applications of Machine Learning and NLP in Social Virtue Epistemology

Ehsan completed his PhD in Computing and Information Systems at the University of Melbourne in 2023. His research interests encompass Business Analytics, with a particular focus on Text Analysis, Social Media Analysis and Data-driven Decision-making. He has a publication record in several well-known journals, including Journal of Business Research , Computers and Education: AI, ACM Journal on Responsible Computing, Acta Psychologica, Ethics and Information Technology, Plos One, and the Pacific Asia Journal of the Association for Information Systems as well as prominent Information Systems conferences including International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), the Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS), and the Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS).
