Dr Fabiana Santana

Dr Fabiana Santana joined Flinders in February 2024. She came from the technology industry and has extensive experience in industry and academia. Fabiana worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, and the National Computational Infrastructure (ANU), where she helped government agencies, universities, and research organisations define their research and technical strategy and delivered key projects and partnerships. Before that, Fabiana was the Head of School, Information Technology and Systems at the University of Canberra and, in Brazil, the Head of the School, Computer Science at the Federal University of ABC. Fabiana is a member of the editorial board of the Elsevier Ecological Informatics journal and contributes to the Biodiversity and Climate Change research community.
