Himi has 20 years of experience in teaching, managing technical services team and providing technical support within Tertiary Institutions. He has so far spent his entire career in Higher Education as Laboratory and Technical Services Managers (5 years with Monash University and 6 years with Charles Darwin University) supporting the wide array of fields and leading the diverse technical teams in Engineering, Health, Science, Environment and Creative Arts. He was also an active key member and auditor in both universities’ Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Committees where his last two roles were Chairs of Faculty Engineering, Health, Science and Environment WHS and Technical Services WHS Committees. He is currently leading the technical team in Healthcare Simulation Hub encompassing the laboratories in Sturt East, South and Renmark.

Overseeing the technical staff management, maintenance and operations of the entire Healthcare Simulation Hub - the Laboratory Teaching Space and Clinical Simulation Suites under College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
