Holding BBus(Acc) and CPA Australia postgraduate qualifications, Jack has decades of work experience extending from the discipline and quality professional ethic of chartered accounting firms through a varied career working in a number of business, consulting and NGO environments, in senior management roles, also including five years as Business Manager in a research institution with a focus on improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Jack is committed to integrity and equity, and to working with respect and dignity for all parties, in pursuit of real and practical means and solutions to challenges and barriers encountered as we work toward achieving our goals.

Key responsibilities

Providing business management and operational support, advice and coaching to Rural and Remote Health (RRH) researchers and their teams that dovetails with broader College of Medical and Public Health (CMPH) and university-wide research systems, processes and strategies.

Building a culturally responsive research environment within RRH that meets the needs and expectations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers, communities, organisations and key stakeholders.

Providing strategic advice relating to external funding agreements and on-going contractual obligations.

Providing support to senior academic staff to develop strategic research partnerships and programs across RRH.

Leading the identification, development and implementation of change management strategies to improve research performance in collaboration with the leadership team and key stakeholders.
