Jane works as the Senior Technical Officer (Team Leader) in the Healthcare Simulation Hub @ Sturt, in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
Jane and her colleagues collaborate closely with academic staff to provide authentic simulation experiences for students using the equipment and resources in the simulation space.
Jane has had a diverse career, starting out as a Registered Nurse in 1996 in South Australia. She has also worked as an RN in the NT and NSW. Other career highlights include several years supporting clients and their families living with blood cancer, managing the simulation learning environment at a university in NSW, and working as a business development manager in medical simulation.

Plans, coordinates and manages resources to ensure simulated laboratory activities are authentic, accurate and appropriate to the area and topic.
Liaises with Topic Coordinators to develop student instructions and clinical activities and prepares the simulation environment accordingly.
Provides technical advice, troubleshooting and assistance to staff to minimise student interruption during simulation experiences.
Provides education, advice and instruction to staff on simulation equipment capabilities to ensure effective and safe operation.
Supports the Manager with supervision and leadership of technical staff team.
