Jayne Flaherty

Jayne Flaherty joined Flinders University in October 2022 as Chief of Staff.

In this role, she oversees the University’s government and external relations, media and communications, alumni relations and advancement, business intelligence and planning, and University strategic planning and policy.

Prior to joining Flinders, Jayne held senior executive roles leading strategic communications, policy and government relations across the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (SA), ASC, BankSA and RAA, and brings cross-sector expertise spanning defence, financial services, tourism, higher education and the public sector.

A graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Jayne is an experienced non-executive director. She has served on the boards of the South Australian Tourism Commission, UniSA Business School and the State Advisory Committee for the Committee for Economic Development Australia. She is currently a Governor of the Australian-American Chamber of Commerce.
