Jessica Young

Jessica is a Research Associate at the Flinders University Caring Futures Institute. She has a keen interest in social justice and the human rights of people with dementia and people with disability.

Under a cotutelle (dual-degree) PhD program, she completed my doctoral studies at Flinders University in South Australia and Western University in Ontario, Canada. Her PhD research focused on the epistemic (knowledge-related) rights of people with dementia. She explored how epistemic rights were constrained, supported, and negotiated as people with dementia moved from home into residential aged care facilities.
