Jikke Adema has over 20 years of experience in research administration, project management and change management, mostly in an academic environment and some in the public sector, in Australia and the Netherlands. This gives her a wide perspective on strategic planning including how to budget, plan and support research projects; and how to support academics with their career development. Examples of past experience include review of grant applications; project management of science projects; coordinating multidisciplinary science projects as part of larger programs; research data management; use of electronic learning environments in tertiary education; e-Research; research related policies and procedures. She has a strategic view on the research landscape with a focus on removing barriers, collaboration, and improving processes for the longer term.

  • MSc Biology (Population Ecology)
  • MSc Environmental Sciences (Environmental Policy)

Non-academic qualifications:

  • Project Management (Prince2 Practitioner)
  • Business Analysis
  • Risk Management (MoR)
  • Open Water Diver (NOB) and Instruct Snorkelling Skills (ISS, PADI)
