With over 20 years of experience as project manager and change manager in an academic environment (and some in the public sector), both in Australia and the Netherlands, Jikke is a research professional well placed to support our academics with their research. She has a wide perspective on how to plan, budget, apply for and run research projects. Examples of past experience include project management of science projects; coordinating multidisciplinary science projects and programs; research data management; use of electronic learning environments in tertiary education; e-Research. Apart from that she has a strategic view on the research landscape with a focus on removing barriers and improving processes for the longer term.

Main project subjects are in the area of environmental research, process analysis, information and data management, and electronic learning.

Currently Jikke supports research staff and particularly the Dean (Research) at the College of Science and Engineering.


Academic qualifications:

  • MSc Biology (Ecology)
  • MSc Environmental Sciences (Environmental Policy)

Non-academic qualifications:

  • Project Management (Prince2 Practitioner)
  • Business Analysis
  • Risk Management (MoR)
