Kelly joined the Centre as a Research Officer in August 2015. She has a Bachelor of Science with more than 10 years’ experience in pathology, having worked in both public and private laboratories as well as the Red Cross Blood Service. Along with diagnostic testing, she also has a strong background in quality management.

Kelly is the Program Lead for the TTANGO STI POCT Program and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Respiratory Infection POCT Program. Among other things, she is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the training and quality management services for these programs and providing ongoing POCT support for participating health services.

Kelly is also involved in the Centre's work as a WHO Collaborating Cenre, including the multi-country validation of POC testing for chlamydia, gonorrhoea and trichomonas, being undertaken in approximately 14 countries. She is involved in the development of overall training and quality management resources, as well as coordination of the participating Australian sites.
