Kelly joined the International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing in August 2015 with 15 years combined experience in diagnostic laboratories and quality management. 

 

In her role as a Senior Scientist, Kelly played a key role in the design and implementation of Operator Training, Education and Quality Assurance in the TTANGO STI POC Testing Program, the Enhanced Syphilis Response Program, and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander COVID-19/Respiratory Infection POC Testing Program. 

 

Since the integration of the STI and Respiratory infection Programs in 2023, Kelly has been the Scientific Manager and Program Lead for the First Nations Molecular POC Testing Program (https://firstnationspoct.com.au/). She is responsible for day to day management, scientific oversight and delivery of key program deliverables, in conjunction with collaborative partners and external funding bodies. Kelly is also an Investigator on a Medical Research Future Fund Rapid Applied Research Translation Initiative (Strep A, HPV), and is involved in the Centre's work as a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre.
