Kirsten Ryan (BBSC) (MSW) is an Associate Lecturer Teaching Specialist/Clinical Practitioner Field Education Liaison at Flinders University.

Kirsten is passionate about supporting social work students to integrate social work, values, knowledge, and philosophy and practice experience.

Kirsten has experience in field education and student supervision and extensive clinical experience working in the alcohol and other drug sector in South Australia. Prior to commencing at Flinders University, Kirsten was employed as Project Officer for the National Centre for Education and Training on Addiction (NCETA). Kirsten has also been employed as a senior social worker by Drug and Alcohol Services South Australia (DASSA). As part of this role, Kirsten was the senior social worker (Team Coordinator) at South Australia’s therapeutic community program ‘The Woolshed’.

Kirsten is an active member of the Flinders University First Year Community of Practice and the Students as Partners Working Group.
