I have come to Flinders Social Work after 20+ years as a clinician in the field. I have a special interest in infant mental health and improving health and developmental outcomes for infants, young children, and their families. I worked for the Child and Family Health Service (CaFHS) for 13 years primarily providing infant-parent therapy and relational support to families with children under the age of 3. During this period I also worked as the Allied Health Clinical Lead on a project redesigning CaFHS including the development of an interprofessional service for families with young children facing additional barriers to parenting where the aim was to support caregivers to create the conditions necessary for infants and young children to thrive.

I also have experience working with young people at risk of homelessness and disengagement from education.

Key teaching/practice interests:

  • Infant Mental Health
  • Social work practice with children and families
