Kosta is a robotics and automation engineer specialising in programming and systems integration. Additionally, he is experienced in virtual reality development, additive manufacturing, CAD design, machine vision and project management. In Kosta’s current role at the Flinders Factory of the Future, he is drawing on his broad range of technical and non-technical skills, working on Industry 4.0 projects with the University’s partners in defence and manufacturing.

Kosta is a technology enthusiast and is interested in furthering his knowledge base on innovative technologies in the manufacturing and visualisation domains.

Key responsibilities

Kosta works on projects in collaboration with the Flinders Factory of the Future focus area leads and multi-disciplinary research team members. Recent work includes remote control and monitoring of robotic machinery in virtual reality IGLOO, dashboarding for power monitoring and net-zero reporting, collaborative robotic welding of after-market towbars, and proof of concept robotic work cell design for soil probe manufacturing. Kosta also supports other operations in Flinders University, such as robotic demonstration of SPOT, the robotic dog, for University Engagement and recruitment.
