Dr Larissa Roberts is a clinical psychologist and postdoctoral research fellow at Flinders University. She is currently working in the Little Heroes Lab, supervised by Professor Bridianne O’Dea, to establish and evaluate a digital mental health support package for adolescents who are waiting to access mental health services.

Larissa is passionate about improving the accessibility and effectiveness of mental health care through the use of digital interventions and adaptive treatment design, with the goal of delivering more personalised and scalable support.

Her PhD research focused on evaluating a stepped care model for treating posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). During this time, she also delivered therapy for PTSD at the Flinders Posttraumatic Stress Clinic, where she received ongoing training and supervision in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).

Beyond her work in PTSD and youth mental health, Larissa has experience as a research associate with the Generations Initiative, where she evaluated the impact of ageism on the well-being of older adults. She has also worked as a psychologist in community mental health.
