Dr Lucy Simmonds is a Lecturer in Marketing and Health Care Management. She holds a PhD in marketing, a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) and postgraduate qualifications in communication. Lucy's industry background is as a marketing communciations practitioner with experience in organisations such as the Australian Science Media Centre and the Department for Health. As a researcher, she is particularly interested in marketing communications, consumer behaviour, health communications and implementation science.

Lucy is a chief investigator on over $1.4 million of research projects. She is a Endeavour Research Fellowship recipient (Australian government award) at the University of Texas at Austin, USA. She is a review editor for Frontiers in Communication and reviews for high-quality journals in marketing and health sciences, including Journal of Business Research, Psychology & Marketing and the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

Lucy is the Course Program Coordinator, Bachelor of Business (Marketing) (International Business) (Sports Management). As an educator, Lucy has a decade of experience at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level and teaches consumer behaviour, marketing communications and research methods.

Lucy is Adjunct Research Fellow at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) and Affiliate Researcher at the Centre for Social Impact. Lucy is passionate about making research accessible for the community and has published 15 articles in the mainstream press, including The Conversation and The West Australian.
