Madeleine is a palliative care and health services researcher. She is a Research Fellow at the Research Centre for Palliative Care, Death and Dying [RePaDD], and works with the CareSearch project team. Her work focuses on synthesising evidence, guidance materials and resources for use by the aged care and healthcare workforce as well as information and supports for patients, carers, families and the general community around palliative care and death and dying.

Madeleine’s research interests include palliative paramedicine, public health approaches to palliative care and reducing avoidable hospital admissions. Her mixed methods doctoral project explored the role of paramedics delivering palliative and end-of-life care in Australian communities. Prior to undertaking her PhD, Madeleine worked across a variety of clinical, policy and research roles in paramedicine, aged care and palliative care.
