By training, I am a scientist, with a B.Sc (Hons) in Biochemistry and Cell Biology, I pursued my research interests at the University of Manchester (UK), where I completed a Master’s in Research (M.Res.) and then a PhD in Biochemistry. I then engagement in Cancer Cell Biology postdoctoral research for 6 years.
I then moved into university management, followed by more senior leadership roles in research, teaching and infrastructure areas across various Australian Universities.
In addition to my postgraduate qualifications and practical experience over these years, I have also completed a Diploma in Project Management, engaged in a leadership development program (Foundation of Directorship - AICD: Governance for Directors, Risk and Strategy for Directors and Finance for Directors), as well as coaching, and obtained a certificate in Leading Teams with AI (Melbourne Business School).
