Dr Mary Rieger's career has a focus on research and policy having originally worked as a research scientist before changing career path and moving into public policy (higher education, international education and international relations).

With 15-years of managerial and leadership experience accumulated via leading teams, mentoring others and developing strategies and specialised programs, Mary can manage change, innovate with purpose and work with stakeholders to achieve a desired outcome.

Key responsibilities

Managing the Research Grants & Tenders team that provides specialist advice to our researchers on a diverse range of research funding schemes
Developing and implementing processes to ensure smooth operations across Research Now and the Contract Management System
The team's goal is to maximize the success rate of high quality-research grant applications through our support in their development and submission.
