Mat is an experienced APA Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist with passion for education and the use of current research in delivering evidence-based, best-practice management for patients of all levels.
Mat has extensive history working in musculoskeletal and high-level sports physiotherapy, including serving as Head Physiotherapist to Adelaide United FC [A-League], Australian National Paralympic Football team (Pararoos), and the Australian 'Joeys' Youth National Football (Soccer) team.
Mat also has extensive experience in providing clinical supervision to undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy students, and also is an invited presenter on the APA sports physiotherapy professional development courses; with particular teaching interests in clinical reasoning, evidence-based practice and exercise rehabilitation.
Clinical interest areas include running biomechanics and running injuries, football injury, disability sport, hamstring and tendon injury.
