Associate Professor Matt Sutton brings over a decade of experience as an accomplished Teaching Specialist (Clinical Practitioner) and Advanced Scope Physiotherapist. Currently serving as the Academic Lead for Physiotherapy at Flinders University, Matt oversees the development and delivery of innovative, evidence-based curricula for both the Bachelor of Allied Health (Physiotherapy) and Master of Physiotherapy programs.
Matt's career is marked by a commitment to academic excellence, student-centered learning, and interprofessional practice. They have played a pivotal role in establishing new Bachelor of Physiotherapy program, the Musculoskeletal curricula and Health2GO student physiotherapy service, and leading the Digital Learning Community of Practice for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. As a member of the Council for Physiotherapy Deans of Australia and New Zealand, Matt is dedicated to advancing the field of physiotherapy education and practice.
At the forefront of integrating generative AI into education, Matt leverages this technology to enhance learning experiences and improve educational outcomes, having presented his work both within the university and to external stakeholders. Their innovative approach ensures that students are well-prepared for the evolving landscape of physiotherapy.
