Dr Melanie Deek is an Associate Lecturer in the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work. She teaches into undergraduate and postgraduate topics with a focus on mental health and wellbeing. Her research focuses on eating behaviour and body image in young women across Western and Middle-Eastern cultures.

She is also a practicing Registered Psychologist (Clinical Psychology Registrar), working in private practice to support children and young people, along with their families, presenting with a wide range of psychological concerns.

Qualifications

Melanie completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at Flinders University, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy (Clinical Psychology) at Flinders University.
